I guess what 50 is trying to say is that Rick Ross is “fake” cause he claims to be some big drug kingpen in Miami, and he was really a C.O., so that he’s a fraud.
Honestly, though, who believes half the crap people rap about nowadays anyway? I think DMX said it best in one of his interviews a little while back, when questioned about some of the lyrics in his music: “If I were really doing that, I’d have been in jail, not making records.”
A lot of these rap “personas” are complete Godfather/Scarface/etc rip offs. So trying to make the argument that a rapper is “fake” really doesn’t make sense. Most are.
