In “Even if I fall, I’ll land on a pile of money” news, the big homey 50 Cent is back at it again, this time he responding to predictions of low (flop) sales for his new album, “Before I Self Destruct.”

And now…here’s 50 Cent to BET.com explaining why his CD ain’t flying of the shelves like usual and will probably only move 150,000 and 160,000 first week copies: Well, the reports from Hits Daily Double, I don’t actually know what to anticipate from the actual sales of this project. It’s obvious, the project just came out a month earlier than what was actually anticipated. The actual project is arguably my best work, to have the general public respond the way they’ve responded to it. I haven’t heard anything negative about my choices artistically, so if I was in the space where I absolutely needed finances from the actual sales of the record, it might mean something, but if it offers the material that I can go out and perform and make everyone enjoy themselves as much as I enjoyed myself making it, Ill be happy with it.

And now…EbenGregory explains why 160K is a flop compared to his other releases: 50 Cent’s first two albums, 2003’s “Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” and 2005’s “The Massacre” sold 872,000 and 1.14 million copies respectively, while his 2007 album “Curtis” sold 691,000 copies in its first week.
