John Mayer Tells Playboy He Has “A Nigger Pass”

In “I got diarrhea of the mouth” news, the big homey John Mayer is back at it again, this time he’s telling Playboy he has a “Nigger” pass.
Of for real EbenGregory…he actually said he has a “Nigger” pass?
Yes.
And now…here’s John Mayer to Playboy Magazine about how he doesn’t have a “Hood” pass, but rather a “Nigger” pass:
PLAYBOY: If you didn’t know you, would you think you’re a douche bag?
MAYER: It depends on what I picked up. My two biggest hits are “Your Body Is a Wonderland” and “Daughters.” If you think those songs are pandering, then you’ll think I’m a douche bag. It’s like I come on very strong. I am a very…I’m just very. V-E-R-Y. And if you can’t handle very, then I’m a douche bag. But I think the world needs a little very. That’s why black people love me.
PLAYBOY: Because you’re very?
MAYER: Someone asked me the other day, “What does it feel like now to have a hood pass?” And by the way, it’s sort of a contradiction in terms, because if you really had a hood pass, you could call it a n*gger pass. Why are you pulling a punch and calling it a hood pass if you really have a hood pass? But I said, “I can’t really have a hood pass. I’ve never walked into a restaurant, asked for a table and been told, ‘We’re full.’”
PLAYBOY: It is true; a lot of rappers love you. You recorded with Common and Kanye West, played live with Jay-Z.
MAYER: What is being black? It’s making the most of your life, not taking a single moment for granted. Taking something that’s seen as a struggle and making it work for you, or you’ll die inside. Not to say that my struggle is like the collective struggle of black America. But maybe my struggle is similar to one black dude’s.
PLAYBOY: Do black women throw themselves at you?
MAYER: I don’t think I open myself to it. My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a f*ckin’ David Duke cock. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick.
PLAYBOY: Let’s put some names out there. Let’s get specific.
MAYER: I always thought Holly Robinson Peete was gorgeous. Every white dude loved Hilary from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. And Kerry Washington. She’s superhot, and she’s also white-girl crazy. Kerry Washington would break your heart like a white girl. Just all of a sudden she’d be like, “Yeah, I sucked his dick. Whatever.” And you’d be like, “What? We weren’t talking about that.” That’s what “Heartbreak Warfare” is all about, when a girl uses jealousy as a tactic.
I see said the blind man. And now…
John Mayer must love the taste of his own foot ice jewelry: Laundry is the only thing that should be separated by color.

WOOOOOOW! It’s so sad how people cherish him, and he has such a stupid personality. If I see him, I will be like, Bro, who the FUCK are you?
In this ultra-politically correct world, it is no surprise everyone is up in arms about this — we have been programmed to do just that. When a black man calls a black woman a ho or a black man a nigger, we give high fives and think how sweet it is (or would be) to be G. When a white man says either of those words whatever the context, however, we give the conditioned response and shout racism. There is no thinking involved, no reason, only a simple reflex. EbenGregory’s knee-jerk reaction was so quick he forgot how to read and completely misquoted John Mayer. Eben is certainly not alone. Most of us are guilty of doing this exact thing on most issues — we don’t think, we just react as we have been programmed. “Culture. News. Trained.” should be our moniker.
Personally, I am not a John Mayer fan. I don’t care for his music and think he is an idiot — he has been making masturbation and pornography comments since I first heard of him, but it is still obvious to the unconditioned and unbiased he was not trying to say anything derogatory. Could he have used a less controversial route? Definitely. Was his dick joke extremely unfunny and in poor taste? Absolutely.
In his own words he explained:
“Re: Using the ‘N word’ in an interview: I am sorry that I used the word. And it’s a shame that I did because the point I was trying to make was the exact opposite spirit of the word itself. It was arrogant of me to think I could intellectualise using it, because I realise there’s no intellectualising a word that is so emotionally charged.”
He is right: there is no intellectualizing something like that. Too bad really, because there are no magic words that are charged — only people. And unfortunately you can neither reason nor intellectualize with people like that.
I don’t understand why he would say something like this. I had just recently bought a few of his albums but now its all just so disgusting I can’t even bare to listen to them. “My dick is a white supremacist?”
John Mayer and Oh Please Go FUCK yourself
I am sooo tired of these excuses every year when some white celebrity disrespects my race. Fuck the context these ppl need to have respect and his whole body is a white supremacist.
You must be kidding me. It is laughable – LAUGHABLE – the feigned indignation that is generated whenever a crackah says “nigger.” Nigga, please. The problem with “racism” around here isn’t “white folks using the ‘N’ word.” It’s a black community whose values and norms have become so distorted and self- loathing that you cannot recognize what you’ve become.
This interview proves two things – 1) John Mayer is an idiot. 2) Black folks who get their panties in a wad over this need to think about the context of the statements and ask themselves why that context exists in the first place.
How do you want be judged? By the content of your character, or the color of your skin?
I do not condone that word being use and Im pretty sure he said it to make a point. He should have chosen his words wiser just because its difficult for some people to find the true meaning in writing. In other words, its difficult to understand tone and meaning when the person who said it isn’t there to elaborate. People jump to conclusion assume things and make ant hills into mountains because they can. Its really not a big deal.
Here is my thoughts…..John to me seems like a clown. Although talented he just isnt the “perfect” star he says stupid things because he is just one of those type of people. the type who wants to sound cool and collected but always just blurts the wrong thing out,we all know someone like this and you can just see it in the way he carries himself….as for the black women comment, that is his choice. My thing about it is you dont say it that way. describing your body parts as a person who is hateful and has killed or ordered to kill is just plain stupid. As far as the “hood” pass verse “Nigger” pass. here is the diffent….hood just means neighborhood shortened, black people coined the term i guess you can say. to say “nigger pass” would mean he wants to have a pass in with ignorant people, which is what the definition of the word is. there are niggers of all races and colors, plainly speaking because there are alot of ignorant people running around. So just because you come to a “hood” doesnt mean your going to be around alot of ignorant people.I am a black man ive heard it all and have been guilty of buying into the bs at times. every one needs to learn how to just start thinking a little bit more before they say or do things and thats the truth
John Mayer can’t handle a black woman anyway. his pinky finger david duke dick. Please. Please go to compton, and make sure you tell the locs you got your nigger pass. I’m sure the homies will accommodate you.
Well, whatever his intentions were, it’s working…the matrix has you.
it’s really sad. john mayer was on chappell show. i know people personally who have said that john mayer had alot of soul in him. and you hear him talk like this is really disappointing. he thinks that by not giving anymore interviews that he will keep from making these mistakes again, but you cant change a player’s game in the 9th inning.
@Hetallica use a simple bitch, huh? Everyone read the transcript, why didn’t you? He shouldn’t use the word period I don’t care how many black people he did music with Em don’t say it and he owns 50′s shit! Dude said his dick was like a white supremacist, then goes on about a couple of black women in the industry that are “acceptable” if you didn’t catch his real meaning behind the bull he said. Bitch ain’t got a Ni**a pass with me!
who says “nigger pass?” Maybe ghetto pass. I think he doesn’t get the concept.
i could quote cee-lo from the GOODIE MOB “n*gga Experience” or i could quote martin Luther king, or i should just e-mail dave chappell and ask him if he gave ol pasty face the permission. i would hate to see more exuberant “non-us’s” wearing their N!gga pass on their face in the eye region. he can start doing songs with joe buddens
Did you even bother reading the very interview transcript that you posted?
He’s decrying use of the term “hood pass” because it’s degenerating to lower-income black people, and said it’s about the same as calling it a “nigger pass.” He even says: “Why are you pulling a punch and calling it a hood pass”
Jesus, look at the fuckin’ CONTEXT next time before crying afoul!
i have a feeling that the next couple of days will be people telling us that they know him and he didnt mean any harm blah blah blah followed by an apology of him saying he loves black people and he has [insert number] of black friends blah blah blah. then his “fans” will accept hs apology and continue to buy his music
