Jay-Z At Barclays Center Groundbreaking For Brooklyn Nets
First…know that according to RapRadar.com this afternoon, a press conference was held for groundbreaking of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Yards. Set to open in 2012, the 18,000 seat arena will mark the new home of the Brooklyn Nets. Many local residents oppose the construction due to possible increase of traffic and living costs. In attendance were Mayor Michael Bloomgberg, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Governor David Paterson. Nets co-owner Jay-Z, gave a brief speech and afterward, paid homage to the memory of his n*gga, Biggie.
