You make a good point. I felt strongly about what I said because I’m going to school for music and I’m trying to become an entertainer myself. And I agree to a certain extent, these artists can switch it up or atleast put up more alerts so parents know what to expect. However, there are some things that are just not meant for children.

The commentators fail to mention that most parents are working so man hours to make a living that they really can’t watch their children adequately to prevent the viewing of this material and others like this. Not to mention the single parent homes where the parent is already over burden with so many other concerns… So you may be able to shield your child from this content but what about the other masses of children with the above circumstances, that not only watch but incorporate the behavior into their characters. How long will it really take your kid to forget everything you may have responsibly advised him/her on in favor of fitting in with the rest of the bunch. A ban is not necessary but proper reasoning with kids will cause them to be disinterested with such material. And in less than 1 minute flat you’ll find lady gaga and beyounce switching up the their styles to something more tolerable to the kids and rest of the public. U always have a choice excercise it. STOP EATING YOUR CHILDREN.
I didn’t like the video, the song was okay though…it’s too much goin’ in the video “way too much”…all I’m going to say is, just cause you can do something don’t mean you should…everybody gonna have an opinion about it whether they like it or not, or just don’t care. Where she thinks it’s necessary to include all these different themes and images, some ppl gonna watch n think nothing of it. As for me it was just too much I didn’t need to see all that and while kids today ain’t dumb, they don’t need to see all that either~

I’m not a parent, but as a child what I watch was limited because there was shows and videos my parents disagree with. So yes, you can prevent what your child can listen to, to an extent atleast. I think the problem is this woman as well as a handful others is that she doesn’t want to take any responsibility for their children or extert any energy to prevent any unwanted influences. So instead of placing blame on theses artists, you need to be more proactive in your children’s life.

And she contradicted herself! First she said the video should be banned, then she says as a mother she lets her kids watch the videos and explains to them what they saw. Which one is it lady?
Then she compares the video to hard core porn. Hardly the same thing. I doubt someone is going to watch a Lady Gaga video then have the sudden urge to go out and rape somebody. GTFOH!
