Diddy Says He Never Mis-Treated Any Of His Bad Boy Artists
First…know that in the latest issue of Vibe, Diddy addressed the fact that alotta people think he’s a blood-sucking vampire that steals from his artist, even though he doesn’t.
Says Diddy:
There’s an off perception that needs to be addressed about me that I have ever robbed somebody or mistreated somebody. Or tried to be ruthless or whatever in this game. Like, all this year I’ve heard people say, “Where’s Carl Thomas, where’s Black Rob, where’s G.Dep? Where are these artists?” And for some reason they go ahead and equate that, cause those artists aren’t with me, that I’ve done something wrong or malicious or conniving. It’s something that I do have a problem with because they don’t have no proof that I’ve ever done nothing like that.
Does this really bother you, because you’ve talked about this before.
It’s a misconception. Especially someone who’s been brought up like me. I’ve been brought up to work hard for mine and never take from nobody. And to always try and help people. But people don’t understand this game that were in. You have a short life expectancy. It’s rare to a me, to be a Jay-Z, an LL, a Nas. That shit is a rarity. That’s not even one percent of the rappers. If you look at any artists that were on Ruff Ryders, where they at? If you look at any artist that was on Def Jam at the time we started, where they at? If you look at any artist that was on Roc-A-Fella, Jive, where they at? It’s not like anything was wrong with them. It’s just that you have a four, five-year average in this game. That’s just something I wanted to address.

a lot of people gave shit for suge knight putting out pac’s music after he died but in reality diddy has used biggie’s shit OVER and OVER again. diddy is awful as an artist, great business man though so i would believe that diddy is a ruthless motherfucka. i mean now he got nicki minaj and rick ross doing the same shit as biggie and lil kim…wtf is there no more creativity in these motherfuckers? oh well music business is shady as fuck so it is expected

I feel the same way about the BIG not being here in that sense. As far as Diddy, that wasn’t a misconception, it’s the truth! There was a time this nigga had a all-star roster, even when Biggie passed. He played everybody that ever did anything musically with him. Faith, Mary, 112, the L.O.X., da band, everybody! What happened to all of them? What happened to 8ball & MJG and Bad-Boy south? Why can’t you produce and artist with staying power? SMH….
Diddy is a mofo! Next time you see Big Daddy Kane, ask him what Diddy told him he had to do to get a record deal with Bad Boy awhiles back.

Besides Biggie, I can’t at this moment think of a continually successful Bad Boy Branded artist or group (I miss Da Band, Day 26, Danity Kane apparently was successful, but who else?).
Diddy hurts/kills careers. I still miss Total and G-Dep.

Diddy is a damn liar. I know sometimes artists can mess up there own careers but Diddy definitely played a part in alot of his artists demises. After all these years and Diddy is still the biggest artists off of Bad Boy. I bet you Shine career would agree with me.
