In “Oh sh*t…the cops” news, the big homey TI is back at it again, this time he and his wife were arrested for having a controlled substance on his person.

And now…here’s AllHipHop.com reporting on what happened: Rap star T.I. could be in serious trouble, after the rapper and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested in West Hollywood for drug possession. According to reports, T.I. and Tiny were arrested and charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance after police smelled marijuana emanating from their Maybach. Both T.I. and Tiny were booked at the West Hollywood sheriff’s station on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, bail was set at $10,000 each and they were both released around 4:00 am this morning. The class of the controlled substance that was found includes methamphetamines and ecstasy. While details are sketchy as of press time, the arrest could impact T.I. greatly. The rapper is currently serving a three-year probation after he pleaded guilty in May of 2009, for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers before the BET Awards in 2007.

T.I. has had a run-in with the law once again. The King of the South and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle have been arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Tip and Tiny for making an illegal U-turn while they were driving in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 1). After officers smelled marijuana in the vehicle, the couple was taken into custody in West Hollywood, Calif. They remained in custody as of press time and are scheduled to make an appearance at the Beverly Hills Municipal Court on Friday. Bail was set at $10,000.
Police stated that they discovered a controlled substance in the car, which, under California law, constitutes methamphetamines, ecstasy, and a form of codeine used in Sizzurp. Inside of T.I. and Tiny’s car were Styrofoam cups, the cup of choice for those who drink the popular Southern concoction, but cops are now claiming that they may have found X pills in the whip.
The Atlanta MC is currently on probation after pleading guilty to weapons charges. He served seven months behind bars at a Federal Correction Institution in Arkansas last year.
T.I. and Tiny were married on July 30 and the rapper-turned-actor is fresh off the success of his film Takers, which debuted at No. 1 over the weekend.
