Soulja Boy Apologizes To Miltary, Says Army-Bashing Song WON’T Be On New Album
Soulja Boy says he “let my words get the best of me” when he released a new rap video saying, “F**k the troops” … and now he’s issued a full apology to the entire U.S. military.

Says Soulja Boy in an open apology:
As an artist, I let my words get the best of me. Sometimes there are things that we feel, things that we want to express, and when we put them on paper and speak them out loud, they can come out wrong.
When I expressed my frustration with the US Army, not only did my words come out wrong, I was wrong to even speak them. So, I write this to give my sincerest apology to all members of the United States military services, as well as their families that were offended by my most recent lyrics.
As a young man who grew up in the post-9/11 era, I have watched our country fight two wars that seem like they are never going to end.
I have seen thousands and thousands of our brave men and women get killed in battle and often times, I think for what? A lot of people in this country are struggling to make ends meet and I think a lot about what if we had never gone to war.
Where would our economy be? Our schools, our after-school and work programs, our streets? I mean, damn, 48 people got shot in New York City just this past weekend … in 3 days … I’m not saying that it is just because of a bad economy, but at a certain point we have to take care of our own people.
In no way would I ever want to offend those who are protecting our freedoms … a lot of homeboys who I grew up with, a lot of people who come from the neighborhoods we live in … In no way do I want to hurt any of our honorable soldiers who put their lives at risk, regardless of how they feel about the two wars we fight in.
I am just frustrated that we haven’t been able to bring you all home quick enough and my frustration got the best of me. I am deeply sorry.
And now…TMZ reports that the song won’t make the new album:
Soulja Boy and his management team are SCRAMBLING to remove all traces of the rapper’s army-bashing song from the Internet — and they swear … it won’t come anywhere near Soulja’s new album.
A rep for Soulja’s management team, Debby Coda, tells TMZ, both the rapper’s management and his record label have been working nonstop since Friday to take the video down off the Internet.
Debby tells us, the song “Let’s Be Real” was hastily and foolishly posted to the Internet — and was never approved for any album, including his upcoming “Respect My Hustle.”
Debby insists, the song will never be available for purchase.
We’re told Soulja is willing to do whatever he can to make up for the song — which contains the lyric “f**k all the army troops” — including free shows for the military, and meet-and-greet sessions.
And now…
This is EbenGregory.com…telling you it’s easier to eat crow while it’s still warm.

FUCK YOU !!! You havent seen thousands of troops get killed cause you never manned up , put on the uniform and put your ass in harms way. Why, because you are a pussy! If you really want to apologize take your ass to Afgahnistan and live there, that way you will be just a bad memory!
As an Afghan vet I would pay to see dude throw a free concert on any base……..and watch’em super man this ho off the nearest cliff.
As a veteran with sister in the service I could care less about this idiot or what he said. Look at him. lol I refuse to be offended by the dude that made “YOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUU,” kept his nose fed, and fell in love with Kat Stacks. I refuse to take that bullsh*t apology too.
P.S. God bless our troops.
Yall should take it easy on Soulja…you know he’s slow.
HOW ABOUT YOU TAKE YOUR BUTT TO A RECRUITER. THEN JOIN UP TO SEE WHAT A REAL SOLDIER DOES. SO YOUR FACTS ARE STRAIGHT AND NOT BASED OFF JUDGING THOSE THAT VOLUNTEER TO DO THIS DUTY. BETTER YET HOW ABOUT YOU TALK TO THOSE RAP STARS THAT ACTUALLY SERVED IN THE MILITARY. YOUR NOTHING BUT A CHERRY TO US SERVES MEMBER’S. LIKE KELLIFELTHER SAID. TOO LATE NOW SON.
.
First off, tell the truth on who actually wrote this “apology” for you. Second, to be mad about the wars and then say “F*ck the troops” who have absolutely no say in whether they deploy to combat or not is pure ignorance / idiocracy. Educate yourself on how the System actually works before beginning your ramblings. Lastly, I think it would be very unwise / risky to come anywhere near military personnel or to even attempt a “free concert”.
i think u are a stupid ass!!!1 u are saying all the them things and don’t know a damn thing. As a wife of a deployed soldier right now and any other time in life u are a pig!!! Crazy thing is all the ppl that u said f*** you to are fighting and losing their lives for u to say that!!! i DON’T believe you one bit!!! You are just saying all this because u think you have too and you don’t want any of ur fans to stop supporting you!!
what soldier would want to hear from the guy who wrote a song saying “eff you army troops!”! as an apology, soulja boy should have to enlist. YOU go through boot camp and see who has it harder. you, sittin in your penthouse with all your sluts and money or the guys who willingly fight for our freedom. why dont you face the gas chambers, constantly getting shot at by the enemy, never seeing your family etc.. screw you soulja boy.
so the same person who believes, “why me YOUUUUU!!”, somehow makes sense wrote that apology? no doubt parts of that were his thoughts, but c’mon son.
I’m still baffled that in 2011 people are still listening to his lyrics.
preach.
but really
saying f^^k the war is so different to saying f–k the troops..
Too late now son…
