Holla at your boy.
WASHINGTON, DC, February 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Lavar Arrington & EbenGregory News Network (L.E.N.N) Co-Founder EbenGregory announced today that he will co-host a new weekly entertainment talk show on CBS Radio News. Entertainment Weekly Live & Uncut will broadcast on CBS Radio live on Sunday mornings on 1580am in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. The show will also be streamed on-line at cbsdc.com.
“They brought me on because of my news background and for my unique perspective on celebrity news,” said EbenGregory. “I think fans of pop culture would like to turn their radio on in the morning to hear news coverage about things that matter to them, coming from a person who looks like them and talks like them. I have a great opportunity to do that this year, and I hope to play a huge role in the success of the show.”
The show will include news commentary and satire in the vein of Howard Stern and will tackle “entertainment news and current events” important to CBS’s massive audience. EbenGregory will co-host the show with lifestyle expert Donna Briggs.
“The goal of the show is to have viewers rolling with laughter over the absurdity of today’s hot-button entertainment news,” said Donna Briggs, co-host, Entertainment Weekly Live & Uncut. “We’re inviting the listener’s to wake up to the stories they want to hear, the ones that mainstream news outlets sometimes won’t cover with a keen focus to keep them in engaged and in the know.”
Entertainment Weekly Live & Uncut will be sponsored by the L.E.N.N. “We’re very excited to sponsor the show,” added Lavar Arrington, co-founder, L.E.N.N. “Collectively, the members of our network have that natural talent, relatability and vibrancy to give L.E.N.N. a unique advantage and make deep footprints in the way news is reported. This show is going to give CBS listener’s a good reason to wake up with Donna and EbenGregory.”
Entertainment Weekly Live & Uncut airs on Sunday mornings at 8am on 1580am in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. The show will also be streamed on-line at www.cbsdc.com.
