Online Sportsbook giant BetOnline.com called out rapper Birdman, taking him up on his $5 million Super Bowl bet on the New England Patriots.

Through Twitter, BetOnline.com tried to get their offer to the Big Tymer, then issued a formal release that has circulated on the web.

“If Birdman is prepared to put his money where his mouth is, we are prepared to accept his $5 million wager on either the point spread or the money line of Super Bowl XLVI”, said Sportsbook Brand Manager Dave Mason of BetOnline.com.

The terms for the bet are as follows: Should Birdman bet on the Patriots point spread at -3.5 (-110), he will put down $5 million to win $4,545,454. If Birdman places a bet on the Pats straight up the money line at -160, he will lay $5 million to win $3,125,000. Either way, Birdman will have to forfeit some G’s in accordance with the gaming laws in Panama City, Panama, where BetOnline.com operates.

The biggest player in the pay-to-tweet market is Ad.ly, a social-media advertorial clearinghouse pairing brands with celebs to inject highly personalized advertising into their Twitter streams.

The pay rate for endorsing companies like Old Navy, Toyota, Best Buy, and American Airlines is determined by the size of a celeb’s following and how that group responds to his tweets with shares and retweets.

On that sliding scale, Snoop Dogg (6.3 million followers) is in the top tier of payments, on the upside of $8,000 apiece, while Paula Abdul (2.2 million followers) falls somewhere in the middle, in the $5,000-each range, and Whitney Port (800,000 followers) falls in the bottom tier, making around $2,500 per tweet.

Dwyane Wade got a SICK $230,000 sports car at his 30th birthday party in Miami this weekend — but the most impressive part of the gift is how it was AIRLIFTED into the hotel pool without a scratch.

The car is a brand new 2012 McLaren MP4-12C — given to him for FREE by the owner of a local luxury car dealership.

The guy wanted the presentation of the car to be super-fancy — with the McLaren waiting for Wade on a platform in the middle of the hotel pool. Problem is, you can’t just drive that thing inside the hotel.

Instead, the car was loaded up onto a crane in the alley next to the pool area … hoisted above the hotel wall … and carefully lowered onto the waiting platform, positioned inside the pool.

Props to the crew — because the whole thing went off without a hitch … and D-Wade accepted his present in front of famous friends like Usher, Common, T.I., LeBron, and Chris Bosh.

D-Dub even got a shout from Vogue chief Anna Wintour … who said, “I hope we’ll see you back at NY Fashion Week in September, because you’re my favorite person to sit next to at the shows.”

TMZ has checked official records … which show on January 5th, Kobe surrendered his interest in 2 of their estates to Vanessa … on that same day Vanessa surrendered her interest in a 3rd home to Kobe.

As far as who got what … the title transfers don’t list addresses, but our sources say Vanessa is now the full owner of the mansion she shared with Kobe in Newport Coast. As for the second home Vanessa now owns in full … it’s the nearby mansion where her mother has been living.

We’re told the estate Vanessa fully deeded to Kobe is the one currently under construction – also in Newport Coast.

TMZ broke the story … Vanessa filed for divorce from Kobe on Dec 16th.

Although we heard rumblings of a possible reconciliation … the property transfers make it seem the divorce is going full throttle.

Duracell Powermat is a joint venture between Procter & Gamble’s Duracell brand and Powermat Technologies. Powermat is the outfit behind wireless mats that let consumers charge smartphones and other devices just by laying them on the mats.

Powermat’s ultimate vision is to make wireless charging ubiquitous, an ecosystem similar to the placement of Wi-Fi hotspots. “You will be able to enjoy wireless power wherever you go, at a coffee shop, restaurant, or airport,” says Ron Rabinowitz, CEO of the joint venture. Adds Powermat Technologies CEO Ron Poliakine,”Our mission is to populate the universe with access points in any surface surrounding us in a way that you, as a user, will forget that you even have a battery in your devices.”

Garden fans won’t have to pay to use the mat. But Powermat could, in the future, require consumers elsewhere to watch ads or purchase prepaid coupons in order to use the mats.

Other companies compete with Powermat in the wireless power space, but getting Jay-Z on board would appear to be a major marketing boost for Duracell Powermat.

“I believe in the future of wireless energy,” Jay-Z says.
