According to TMZ, the Kardashians were “surprised” by the news because Obama personally told Khloe he thought “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” was a “great show” when they met last year.

Kardashians actually believe that Sasha and Malia could learn something from the show because it features girls in real-life situations facing real-life problems.

A Gwinnett county man is in jail after police say he robbed a QT gas station right in front of a Snellville police officer. The police officer was standing just feet behind the man as he demanded money from the cashier, as shown on the store’s surveillance video. Police said Stephen Daniel asked the officer for a ride to Lawrenceville and the officer said he couldn’t do it and that Daniel had to use the pay phone outside to call someone else to give him a ride. The video shows after speaking with someone on the phone for a few minutes, Daniel hung up and then police said he walked into the convenience store off Scenic Highway demanding cash.

The conversation can be heard in the video:

Daniel: “Yo. Give me all the money in the (expletive) register. Right now! Give me all the money in the (expletive) register.

Cashier: “Why?”

Daniel: “Because I said so.”

What the video doesn’t show is Lt. B.W. Brown standing behind Daniels, watching him. “I know what was going on, but he’s not dumb enough to do this with me standing right behind him,” Brown said to Channel 2’s Craig Lucie. The video shows that the store manager is smiling throughout the whole robbery.

“The manager was laughing at the time he was putting the money in the bag because he was looking at me over the guy who was robbing him,” said Brown. As soon as Daniels turned around, he saw the officer. “I’m standing right behind him. I got a hold of him by the shoulder and placed him under arrest for robbery. It was a comedy type thing,” Brown told Lucie.

Brown said everyone in the store started laughing. “In 34 years, I have never had one happen the way this one did,” Brown added.

Daniel did get his ride to Lawrenceville … to the Gwinnett County Detention Center. That’s where he remains on a robbery by fear charge.

Sources close to the person in possession of the tape tell us … neither company has actually laid eyes on the footage … but both sites are serious about acquiring the rights.

TMZ has confirmed … one of the potential buyers is a site called YouPorn — and YouPorn honcho Corey Price tells us the site has made an official offer to pay $150k for the tape.

According to sources, the person in possession of the tape believes the offer is “way too low” — and is willing to hold out for more money.

We’re told the seller has been in contact with a second, unidentified porn site, which has vowed to to beat the current offer — but only if it can screen the footage first.

As TMZ first reported, the footage was shot in 1991 … and it features the late rapper receiving oral sex from a woman while rapping, drinking and smoking a blunt at a house party.

Whether you use your card for one purchase a month or 20, you will pay $5 per month starting in 2012. It doesn’t matter if you select “debit” or “credit” at the point of sale.

If you don’t use your card at all, you won’t be assessed a fee, and you can still use ATMs as much as you want without getting hit with the new charge. Plus, customers with certain premium accounts will be exempt from the charge.

Other banks have been flirting with the idea of introducing a fee for debit card usage, but Bank of America is one of the first major institutions to announce that it will make this a reality for active debit card customers.

Bank of America and other debit-card issuers, including J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Wells Fargo & Co. and Regions Financial Corp., are trying to offset an estimated $6.6 billion annual revenue hit stemming from new limits on so-called debit-card swipe fees.

The limits, finalized by the Federal Reserve Board in June, take effect Saturday and will reduce the amount of money merchants pay banks to 24 cents per transaction from a current average of 44 cents. Bank of America has said it expects the caps to erase $2 billion in revenue annually.

“The economics of offering a debit card have changed with recent regulations,” a spokeswoman for Bank of America said in a statement Thursday.

The fee will apply to various consumer checking accounts but will not apply to customers in certain premium accounts, according to a memo sent to the bank’s executives Thursday. Customers will pay the fee during any billing cycle in which they use their debit card to make a purchase.

The move coincides with the implementation of new rules limiting the revenue banks will be able to get from merchants. Beginning this weekend, a cap on the fees banks can charge retailers every time customers swipe their debit cards will take effect.
